Just finished watching “across the universe” again… and i realized how much I love the beatles once again. Although i have most of there work on my Itunes I knew I was missing some of their albums. I decided to go on to Itunes music store and get the rest of the albums i was missing. Thinking of one of the podcasts I listen to “macbreak weekly” even though it has been awhile they had talked about the beatles on itunes as well as a beatles ipod which never happened. This got me thinking maybe they have added the catalog to the store. This was not the case, searching through itunes i realized there was zero beatles albums. Upset and discouraged I started to think about why this was. One of the most influential band’s ever not being on one of the most progressive platforms for music ever. In my opinion this has to do with the dispute that “Apple computers” had with “Apple records” when Apple computers started to distribute music and the whole copy infringement suit happend. Resulting in Apple computers to win and i realized why would the company’s ever make a deal. Looking at todays economic crisis as well as the record industries crisis of DRM free music and falling CD sales that the smartest thing to do for any record company would be to start selling on itunes the fastest growing music market. I guess i might have skewed view on both because i love the beatles as well as the itunes music store but the point is…. PUT THE F’ING BEATLES ON THE STORE!!!!!!!
The Hulk
June 19, 2008Where do I start? The Hulk in my opinion was a pretty well made enjoyable movie. From the beginning it was engaging and got you interested in the story. As the opening credits rolled by it had flash backs of Edward Norton participating in a Gama radiation experiment and basically outlining how he came to be the hulk.
The character development was not good, but it wasn’t horrible either more in a middle ground where some characters were more in depth and other important characters were not. Norton’s character was very well developed and put together, on the other hand the actress playing his ex wife did not really seem to have any motives in what she was doing. I guess love can count as a motive but one that ended many years ago and has moved on to another guy, I don’t find it believable that she would do what she did for Norton. The C.G. was smooth although there are a few parts where the surroundings look completely fake and takes away from the movie a bit.
The end if you have not seen the movie I will try not to ruin any thing but if you think i might then i would just skip over this paragraph. Of course you have all herd about how Marvel stepped in and changed the ending to from what Edward Norton had originally wrote and stirred up some controversy, like Norton taking his name off the credits as a producer and writer. Watching the movie near the end I was in shock how dramatic of a change it had taken and the writing became much different, right about the time where it would make sense for Hulk to kill the villain he doesn’t!!! Now i don’t know how Norton’s ended but I’m pretty sure it went something like The Hulk killing him. Last but not least by far that kind of redeemed itself was the last scene of the movie where Tony Stark walks in to the bar and tells the general he is putting a team together. You all know what that means, The S.H.I.E.L.D movie for 2010 is definitely a go.
My final thoughts are about Marvel overall and how they have done a wonderful job in how they tie characters together with complicated relationships in the comic books, and now it is good to see them starting to do the same deal in their movies.
Motel Rooms
June 8, 2008I don’t understand why all motels are the same of course there is the nessasary a bed, bathroom, phone, and lights. Then you have the unessasary fridges with nothing in them i dont think they understood the concept of mini bar like big hotels they got half way there. Microwaves who brings some thing they need to microwave with them on a trip unless your some redneck family. Soaps, shampoos, and conditioners, who travels with out shampoo and soap maybe some gypses that dont shower but then why would the need these cheap little bottels of low grade self cleaners. There is one thing i am becoming suprised how many motels have free wi-fi which makes me excited so instead of watching mindless t.v. i can do something useful online. No matter what i say about these things motels will keep doing them I just hope the free wi-fi keeps growing!
